How to link Steam, FACEIT, and Telegram

Steam​

Steam can be used to sign in or linked to an existing account. It is required for candidates invited through team search. Unlinking Steam yourself may be unavailable.

If Steam is already linked to an old profile and is that account's only sign-in method, verifying Steam from a new empty account automatically restores the old profile and adds the current sign-in methods to it. Automatic recovery is unavailable when the old account has another identity or the new account already has a profile.

FACEIT​

FACEIT is used to import and show game data. It is not a separate sign-in method. Unlinking FACEIT yourself may be unavailable.

For linked FACEIT accounts, the nickname, avatar, ELO, and level refresh automatically about once a day, even when you do not open the app or belong to a team. FACEIT rate limits or outages may delay updates; the last successfully retrieved data remains visible until a retry succeeds.

If your Steam account is verified and no FACEIT profile has been found yet, the service checks for one about once a day. If the previously linked FACEIT profile can no longer be found, it searches again using verified Steam. Found data is applied only when Steam matches; another user's profile is not reassigned.

Telegram​

Telegram is used for supported sign-in flows and the Mini App. You can unlink Telegram if the account still has another sign-in method.

Staying safe when contacting players​

  • Use only the Telegram, VK, Discord, or email contact listed in the player's profile.
  • Do not follow suspicious links or download unknown files.
  • Never share passwords, verification codes, or payment details.
  • Linked Steam and FACEIT accounts help identify a player, but do not guarantee their trustworthiness.

The app shows this reminder on the first visit and then every 30 days. The acknowledgement is stored only in the browser on the current device and is not saved to the account. Clearing browser data makes the warning appear again.

Do not share login codes, passwords, or tokens with other people. Link accounts only inside official CS2 Team Finder.
