How to manage a CS2 team

Managing a CS2 team does not end after finding five players. A lasting roster needs clear roles, a shared schedule, attendance tracking, match preparation, and regular praccs. CS2 Team Finder brings these workflows together in one platform.

Build and maintain the roster​

The owner creates the team and manages the starting lineup and player pool together with the captain. Each member can have an in-game role and a roster position. When the team needs a specific player, team search can match candidates by level, roles, maps, language, and play time.

Self-serve team applications are not available yet: the owner or captain sends the invitation. A player must enable “Open to team offers” and link Steam to appear in team search.

Assign responsibility​

Owner, captain, coach, and regular player permissions are different. Team leaders manage members, events, tasks, and praccs within their role, so every participant does not need unrestricted access.

Plan team activity​

The calendar brings practices, praccs, matches, reviews, and other events together. Players confirm attendance, and a team leader can save participation and match results after an event. Team tasks cover demo preparation, utility practice, map review, and other assignments; tasks with a due date also appear in the calendar.

Track roster readiness​

The optional daily gaming check-in lets players record motivation, energy, focus, composure, and team readiness. These values do not change ratings or search results automatically, but they help the owner and captain understand the current state of the starting lineup.

Organize praccs​

A team can publish a pracc listing with date, time, format, maps, and average ELO, select an opponent response, and confirm the session. Once confirmed, linked events appear in both team calendars. Afterwards, each side records whether the pracc took place and can rate the opponent's reliability.

Use Telegram as an additional channel​

The Telegram Mini App provides access to the platform inside Telegram. A separate team bot posts roster and calendar notifications to the connected group. The public project chat is mainly for questions, feedback, and updates; player search, roster management, and praccs remain platform workflows.

Getting started​

  1. Create an account and complete your player profile.
  2. Create a team.
  3. Set the starting lineup and assign permissions.
  4. Invite missing players through team search.
  5. Add upcoming practices and matches to the calendar.
  6. Introduce tasks, attendance tracking, and praccs as needed.
