Team search vs personal search
| Personal search | Team search |
|---|---|
| Finds a personal teammate | Fills a need for a specific team |
| Available to the player profile owner | Available to the team owner, captain, and active coach when team search is permitted |
| Result is a teammate request | Result is a team invitation |
| Current teammates are hidden | You can search among your teammates |
| Steam is not always required to appear | Candidates need linked Steam |
| Uses your personal profile | Uses the team’s roles, level, maps, languages, and schedule |
In player mode, team search can use all available players, personal teammates, or favorites. Coach mode searches all available candidates and does not show the personal teammate or favorite scopes.
Both searches accept a name or supported Steam/FACEIT profile link. Links in the form steamcommunity.rip/profiles/… and csst.at/profile/… use their SteamID64; an unsupported link shows “Invalid link.”
Smart team search considers recent activity: it first compares players active within the last 30 days by compatibility, then shows profiles with older or unknown activity. A smooth activity penalty also reduces the compatibility percentage. A light label in the bottom-left corner of the card shows when the player was active.
Team search hides players already on this team or awaiting its invitation. Players on another active team may appear, but they must leave that team before accepting an invitation.
