How to create a team

You can create a team in player or coach mode. Creating a team in player mode requires a completed player profile and linked Steam. In coach mode, you need a completed coach profile and linked Steam; a player profile is not required.

  1. In player mode, open My team; in coach mode, open My teams.
  2. Select Create team.
  3. Fill in the basic details and save the team. The app creates it for the selected mode.

If the form says the tag is taken, choose another short tag and submit again. Tags are unique regardless of letter case, including tags of archived teams. Your other entries stay in the form after this error. Other creation errors explain what to do next: complete your profile, link Steam, leave your playing team, or remove links from the description.

The creator becomes the team owner. If you create it in coach mode, you manage the team as a coach and do not become a player on its roster. A coach can belong to multiple teams. After creation you can:

  • set up the roster;
  • invite players;
  • appoint a captain;
  • set roles, maps, and communication channels;
  • use the calendar;
  • publish pracc listings when readiness checks pass.

Team sections are Overview, Roster, Announcements (for eligible managers), Calendar, Statistics, and (for the owner) Settings. On wide and narrow screens, the heading shows the selected team's name and region badge; on a narrow screen, switch sections with the dropdown. The sidebar labels remain My team in player mode and My teams in coach mode.

A player can belong to only one active team.

Creating a team does not make it complete or ready for praccs. Add players and fill required data.
